Shrimathi Yamuna is often sought by Bharata Natyam dance schools in various parts of Malaysia to sing for their Salangai Poojas and Arangetrams. She is often described as extraordinary, helpful, talented and pleasant. She has the unique ability to get along with her students and that is how Sapthaswara Sangeethalaya was formed.

While we acknowledge there are many Carnatic Music Schools in this country, only a few conducts regular music examinations in theory and practice. Smt. Yamuna Aarumugam is striving hard to maintain high standards, invites accomplished and recognized music lecturers and teachers from India to examine and evaluate her students. This clearly reflects the confidence she has in herself as a music teacher.

Shrimati Yamuna Aarumugam has painstakingly endeavored to raise the standards of her students and has brought music exponents from India to enhance and evaluate her students.
